WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

Women’s Voices is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 2013, which is based in the Longsight area of Manchester. We work with women seeking asylum, refugees, and other vulnerable women from diverse backgrounds by providing a platform for them to meet in a safe and accessible environment. We offer training and activities to the women to enable them to learn and develop skills, to build up their resilience and confidence, and to encourage their independence.

OUR AIMS AND VISION

Our aim is to break the cycle of deprivation amongst Black, Asian, Minority, Ethnic, Refugee (BAMER) women, and to challenge the barriers that prevent them from reaching their full potential. We aim to strengthen the voice and influence of women, so that they may become ambassadors for other women.

Our ultimate vision is:

  • to change the way that women are viewed within their own communities, and in wider society; and

  • for women to achieve empowerment, equality and inclusion in society.

OUR ACTIVITIES

We offer a range of activities and training opportunities, full details of which are outlined in our training section.

    Good Evening,

I am Priscila, 29 years old, from Brazil and living in England since 2018. I am a student in business management and really interested in women voice.

I would like to work as a volunteer at Women’s Voices. Do you know how can I do that?

    Kind regards,

    Priscila Caserta
